A work in progress......

I have been working on a new mixed media project, and have kind of just hit a wall. I'm not sure what else I want to add to it. I had planned on putting words where the red ball is, but I'm not sure. I just don't know what I want to do with it. It is done on canvas. The monkey and the branch part of the tree is a cutout from a 1920's children's book. The top of the tree, the background and sun/ball are done in acrylic paint. Comments are appreciated! 

Bugging Around

After a few hours sitting at my desk with some sculpey clay I came up with three new creations. Two bugs and one penguin. They are up in the etsy shop now.

After only about 10 minutes online cutie lady bug has SOLD!!!!!!!! My first sale! I'm soooo excited!!!

A new polymer clay sculpture

I was in a sculpey mood yesterday and decided to take out the clay and have some fun. After a few failed attempts I made some ladybugs to put me in the Spring mood. I also stumbled upon a great site, www.indiepublic.com it's a great place to get in touch with other artists, share photos, and find new etsy shops. So check it out if you haven't already.

I'm still waiting for that first etsy shop sale, I've been open for about 5 days and had about 50 views on each item so I think I'm off to a good start, I just have to get that one person who will make the sale. I am offering a free gift to the person who makes the first purchase in the pink chihuahua art etsy shop!!!!!!!

Got another late night urge to make a project. Came up with more of a painting, I liked it too much to add anything else to it. It's available in the etsy shop so check it out.

The Scrap Box

If you are in the Ann Arbor, Michigan area I highly recommend going to The Scrap Box (www.scrapbox.org). There are a ton of great materials that have been recycled or donated from businesses. There is everything from buttons to old magazines and wallpaper samples. You can fill up a large bag for $6.50. Go check it out!

Grand Opening Of My Etsy Shop

I also just finished this Mixed Media Art called "Create" its all done on canvas with acrylic paint, glitter, ribbon, embellishments. It will also be available in the etsy shop in a few days.

Christmas In March

Well It's Easter tomorrow and there is snow on the ground in Michigan. So I decided to post some of my polymer Christmas creations. These are two of the first polymer clay projects that I have ever done, it took a lot of trial and error but I was pretty pleased with the outcome. These will be available in my etsy store soon.
