Down On The Farm

I made two new clay sculptures. A chick and a pig. When I sat down to actually make something my mind was just not being creative. I couldn't think of anything to make. I guess my mind has been so much on scrapbooking I lost my creative clay thinking. So if anyone has any ideas on new things to make with clay let me know!
Only 11 days until The Great Lakes Mega Meet!!! Unfortunently Carol Duvall will not be there because she is having surgery on her leg. But I am sure there will be a ton of great scrapbooking supplies there, so I can't wait to spend some money! lol!
Have a great Monday! The chick and pig will be in the etsy shop in a few minutes!

Busy Bee

Hey everyone! I haven't blogged in a few days, just been busy working and scrapbooking!!! I went to the scrapbook tree on thursday and made a page of my grandma. Somehow it turned out to be a really green page, not usually my color but I like it a lot.
So I really have not had any time to make anything for etsy, but I promise I will make some polymer clay stuff this weekend, and maybe some more scrapbook embellishments. So check back for updates and hopefully I will have a ton of stuff in the etsy shop by Monday. Have a Great Weekend! Only 2 weeks until The Great Lakes Mega Meet.

Scrapbook Mania!!

This scrapbooking thing is really a lot of fun! I went to the sketch class last night, it was really informative, and a lot of fun. I got a lot of ideas that I would of never gotten anywhere else. The class is based on Creative Sketches for Scrapbooking by Becky Higgins. You can see the book by clicking here. You use a sketch which tells you what size to cut all the paper and photos, but then you personalize the layout with your own embellishments, paper, and photos. You can see some sample layouts by clicking here. I'm going back on thursday for a free crop, I can't wait to try another layout. Here is the one I made yesterday of my dogs Ella and Paris.

New Polymer Clay Figures

I worked on some new clay figures last night, I finished 3. A dog, bird, and an owl. The owl and the dog are already up on etsy. The bird was just a test, I will probably make some more and put them on etsy soon.
I will attending my first scrapbook class on Monday. It's a sketch class at The Scrapbook Tree and Stamp Garden. It's a beginner class. You bring 6 -8 photos, the instructor helps you sketch a layout, ands shows you what would make your photos pop. Once you take the class then you can join the sketch club that meets once a month. They have one sketch a month and then everyone does a variation of that sketch. It should be a lot of fun. Now I just have to decide what kind of photos I want to use.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Here's a picture of the new clay items. Make sure you check them out on etsy.

My First Crop

I went to my first crop today at The Scrapbook Tree and Stamp Garden. I was GREAT!!! They had a ton of great die cuts, plus the store is amazing to shop at. Probably the best scrapbook store I have been to so far. I can't wait to go back.
I also listed a new dog in the Pink Chihuahua Art Etsy Shop. He's really adorable so make sure to check it out.
Also got an adorable dress form from Marshall's today.
It's getting late so I better go. Here are a few pictures from the day.

EDIT for some reason the pictures on not working on this post. You can see them on my FLICKR page just click HERE

Celebrating

Today I am celebrating 25 hearts for my etsy store, and another sale. Bringing the grand total to 5 which I think is pretty good for 2 1/2 weeks, and just starting out. YEAH! Thanks everyone!
I am also anxiously awaiting Donna Downey to update her website so I can see how her Inspired Artists Workshop went. I did happen to come across some pictures of the event on flickr, you can see them HERE. I love the dress forms they made, so adorable!
Well have a good day everyone!

The Weekend Is Over.....

It's back to work tomorrow. YUCK! But I had a fun weekend of crafting. I got a few projects done and most of them are in the Pink Chihuahua Art Etsy Shop make sure to check them out and see if there is anything you like! I plan on making some more bugs and things tonight and posting them tomorrow. I made this adorable dog too, and right now he's just too cute, so I'm going to keep him for myself for a little while.

I also made a trip to Joann's today and got 60 sheets of scrapbook paper for around $10.00. I believe this sale is going on until May 3rd so there is plenty of time for us paper-a-holics to stock up. They don't have the widest selection like a regular scrapbooking store, but they have the basics, and some cute ones. Michael's doesn't have an ad paper out this week, so nothing to exciting going on there.
I'm hoping to maybe make it to a crop night or something in the next week so I get some ideas before I go to Great Lakes Mega Meet
And if any scrapbookers are bored check out Two Peas In A Bucket.com I stumbled on the site a few days ago. They have everything from supplies to forums where you can chat with other croppers.
Have a great night, and don't forget NEW Desperate Housewives tonight!!

Work Work Work

Wouldn't it be wonderful if there were enough hours in the day to work a full time job and make crafts full time?? Unfortunately there isn't, which means I haven't got much of anything done lately. I have to work 1 -10 today and then be back at the store at 7:45 tomorrow morning and work til 4:00. So maybe I will get something done tomorrow after work, but if not I will make a lot of things this weekend. I'm off the WHOLE weekend! WOOHOO! Have a great day everyone.

No crafting today.....

I got a little distracted shopping so no crafting today. I had  a lot of fun checking out scrapbook stores and then got home and was too busy sorting through my new stash. My workspace is also a mess, so I'm going to clean it up tomorrow and get to work and hopefully get a ton of stuff done this weekend.

A failed attempt.....

I painted this owl yesterday, and because I am an impatient person, I did not wait for the paint to completely dry and he kind of smeared. But I kind of like it. Let me know what you think.
Also, I've gotten emails and comments on the blog for more bugs. They are coming!!! I will probably have some done by tomorrow. Email me if you want me to put one aside for you, or if you have a request. There will probably be some done by Thursday evening.
