So I started my first mini book yesterday. I didn't get very far. I basically just got the background paper put on the chipboard. I'm having a little trouble figuring out how to cut the paper around the brads on the cover, but I think I came up with a little bit of a technique. Instead of trying to cut the paper in a perfect circle, I cut a slit where the hole is and then kind of push the paper under the brad. It seems to help a little.
TGIF blog buddies!!! Anyone have any exciting weekend plans???I think the colors just look stunning. This is of course The Vita Bella line by My Little Yellow Bicycle.
Now there is only one big thing left to do to finish this mini book.......TAKE PICTURES. lol. Only about a week and 2 days until I leave for Chicago. I can't wait to get some beautiful shots to go along with this beautiful patterned paper.
If you are interested in making your own mini album and need some ideas, I seen this magazine at Michael's the other day: Mini Albums In An Evening. It's only 6.99 and has tons of great pictures of mini albums. It's worth checking out.
Here is what I have done on my mini album so far.

It looks good so far! I can't wait to see the rest! I have my sisters wedding reception tomorrow. It's more casual (outside) and right now I am trying to figure out what I want to do with my hair! How about you?
